The following web sites have caught our attention. These are sites that we
visit on a regular basis (or at least wish we had the time to). We enjoy
these sites for their content, their up-to-date-info, their design, their
humor, or just their overall attitude. We think these sites are first-rate,
and that's why we're recommending them to you. As we update we will try to
add a description of each site, a category, and why we think each one is so
fab.
*If you think that our
site is fab and would like to link to us - please head on over to the

AfterEllen.com is perhaps the best location on
the web to find both current and historical information about lesbian
portrayal in the media. The name for the site is based upon the idea that
Ellen DeGeneres' nationally televised coming out on her sitcom in 1997 was a
milestone event that raised public awareness and acceptance of lesbian
visibility. A goal of the contributions at AfterEllen is to make different
points of view available to promote discussion about a topic. They readily
provide critique on television, film, and books - as well as reporting
trends and milestones of lesbian portrayal in the media.
**What to check out: Interviews,
Recommendations, and Satire. **Note-worthy: The
quantity of links in every article to related topics on the site.

A reference of both lesbian film reviews
and lesbian content in TV and film. **What to check
out: NancyAmazon's informal review style. It's equal parts film
history, movie recap, and personal opinion - making the reader feel like
they're listening to a trusted friend discussing that movie she just saw.
**Note-worthy: the HUGE listing of GLBTQ film
festivals from all corners of the globe (wait, globes don't have
corners....oh, well - you get the idea). **What to
hope for: that the music/soundtrack section will continue to grow -
it's a great start as a guide to songs from your fave les films.

Wolfe is the oldest and largest

The freshest new clothing
line to come out of New York, Neighborhoodies jumped on the scene 2 years
ago and has been changing lives ever since. Ever wanted the power to
create your own clothing line? Well, now you can.
Neighborhoodies is a fully customizable clothing store. Every item is
made just for you to your detailed specifications. The idea for the
company bloomed from the popularity of sweatshirts bearing names like "New
York" or "Brooklyn" or "Los Angeles" across the chest. They were very
generic and everyone had them, but just saying you're from New York or you
love New York seemed too generic for some. Why not claim your
neighborhood? Now everybody from Amityville, Long Island to Zizkof,
Prague can proudly proclaim their hometown. Or if you're embarrassed by
yours - - claim somebody else's! Or customize your hoodie or tee to
say whatever you want to say to the world. Neighborhoodies make the
perfect unique gift for the stylish person in your life. ...Or for those who
need a little help being cool. **What to check out:
Find your own neighborhood in the drop-down menu on the site - or add
it to the list! **Note-worthy: The gallery of "Neighborhoodie
of the Day" - submit a pic of you in your hoodie and win the admiration of
hoodie-ites everywhere.
