SYNOPSIS

Showtime Synopsis
Tina hires a famous lawyer to represent her in the split with Bette; Jenny has a serious heart-to-heart with Robin; Kit's purchase of The Planet is finalized.

Slicey Synopsis
The theme of Lap Dance is marriage and separation; must you give up independence to be in a relationship?

Jenny is introduced to Robin's point of view.  Ivan gives Kit the cold shoulder while Kit wants so much more. Tina and Jenny struggle to assert their independence. Dana and Alice fight their attraction while Bette and Alice simply fight.  Bette remains on the outside looking in, but manages to find 2 friendly allies at last.  Shane redeems some of her lady-killer reputation, but Jenny can find no redemption in her writing.  Guest starts Jane Lynch, Sandra Bernhard, and Meredith McGeachie offer their (unwanted) advice.  The biggest jaw-dropping surprise of the night is a flash from the past, while someone we know opens the episode as the "random act."

*Also, The Organ rock the house on tonight's episode, filming their video for the song "Brother."
